Villa M2 is design by Jonas Lindvall A&D. This luxury villa is located in southern Sweden.

Information from designer :

Villa M2 is situated in a village south of Malmö next to a disused lime quarry that has now become a lake. The part of the building facing the lake incorporates generous windows and minimally defined space to encourage the integration of the house’s interior with its stunning natural surroundings.

The north and entrance side to the Villa faces a road with some light traffic hence the design’s rather closed volume. Most of the interior furniture and fittings are specially designed for the house by Jonas Lindvall A&D.

Twin Houses by Predock_Frane Architects

Twin Houses is design by Predock_Frane Architects. It located in in Los Angeles, California. This typological hybrid “corrected” certain shortcomings in the hillside prototype. The main courtyard and adjacent courtyard/recesses pierce the entire volume of the house creating light shafts to rooms typically “buried” in the hillside and further expanding direct access to grounded exterior spaces. Materially the exteriors of the houses are clad in 12? wide cedar plank. The windows and the interiors of the courtyards are smooth, white, light reflective surfaces to further transmit light deep into the house.

Sag Harbor House by Jendretzki

Sag Harbor House is design by Jendretzki. Set on an area called “Mount Misery” because it is close to a street named Misery Lane, this house is now setting the wave of renovations to imitate it, as lawyers are trying to change the street name, which if done, will double the property valuations overnight. This existing house was re-designed to connect the exterior with the interior spaces. The exterior decks and stairs also blend the different elevations of the exterior grade in a way that enhances the flow rather than obstruct it. Although not LEED certified the house was equipped with green ideas in mind such as solar paneling on the roofs, rain water collection for grey waters, environmentally sound materials such as cork and recycled wood-acrylic composites, and energy efficient appliances, and HVAC systems. All exterior wood work such as decks, pergolas and stairs was fabricated with reclaimed-recycled woods. [via]

Contemporary home by Klaarchitectuur architecture

An irregular shape for an unusual contemporary home, the parallelogram provides this modern structure with interesting nooks and openings, and irregular windows to illuminate its spacious interiors. Designed by architecture firm Klaarchitectuur, the modern rural House Kempeneers in Belgium boasts a grey-brick exterior that’s interesting, to say the least. The contemporary style home’s modern, jagged profile and fascinating openings lure you in. The 350m2 ground floor and 120m2 second floor are small, but sweet. Minimalist interiors are sleek and stylish, leaving your attention to the floor-to-ceiling windows and the green, pastoral views. A cool, “floating” staircase leads up to the second level, where a large outdoor terrace provides panoramic views of the whole neighborhood.
